From March 3 to 5, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Igor Semchenko, as a member of the delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, took part in an official visit to Tashkent (Uzbekistan), during which the 8th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan was held.

At the meeting, the Minister of Education of Belarus I. V. Karpenko and the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan A. Kh. Toshkulov signed a Joint Action Plan for the implementation of the Agreement between the Ministries of Education of two countries on cooperation in the field of higher education.

Igor Semchenko also visited the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan and the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications, where he made a presentation on the scientific and educational potential of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University and discussed promising areas of cooperation in the scientific field with the management of the institutions.

At a meeting with the management of the Tashkent State Law University, Igor Semchenko agreed on the conditions for the implementation of the program of joint training of specialists in the specialty "Jurisprudence", and signed an Agreement on the academic exchange of students between two universities..
