High achievements of students of the confucius institute courses

On June 6, 2022, Minsk State Linguistic University hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the qualifying rounds of the XXI World Chinese Language Competition “Bridge of the Chinese Language” among students and the XV World Competition “Bridge of the Chinese Language” among students of general secondary education institutions of the Republic of Belarus.

Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyun, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets, First Secretary for Education of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus Li Bingo, Attache for Education of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus Jia Wei, Rector of MSLU Natalia Lapteva and Rector of BNTU Sergei Charitonchik took part in the award ceremony. Directors of Confucius Institutes and Classes in the Republic of Belarus, deans of faculties, Belarusian students and schoolchildren were also invited to the ceremony.

The winner of the qualifying rounds of the World Chinese Language Contest “Bridge of the Chinese Language” among schoolchildren was Maria Zabrodskaya, a student of the Confucius Institute at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University (1st place). Maria has been studying Chinese for three years, her teacher is Zi Heihe, a graduate student of the Belarusian Literature Department of our university. The girl will represent the Republic of Belarus in the final of the World Chinese Language Competition among students “Chinese Language – Bridge”.

In the nomination “For Outstanding Achievements”, a student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University Gorbatovskaya Maria (teacher – Tzu Hehe) and Lygach Maria, a student of the Gomel Regional Lyceum (teacher – Liu Yimin, postgraduate student of the Faculty of Physics and Information Technology).
