The volunteer group “Aksamit” has been operating for almost five years. It was created for the purpose of psychological support of elderly people and veterans living in the boarding house “Vasilevka”. The main idea of the group's activity is to improve the quality of life of lonely elderly people through retrotherapy: participants share their memories, talk about their lives, about their professional path, share important impressions. That is why, in addition to pleasant and interesting leisure, the opportunity to share their experiences, so necessary for the elderly, is being provided, and the connection of generations is being established. This year, the volunteer squad was awarded by the organizers of the "Hot Heart" initiative (RF). The head of the detachment Natalia Novak and the chairman of the detachment Nadezhda Reznichenko were invited by the Foundation for Socio-Cultural Initiatives to be awarded. The ceremony itself will take place later, and while the profiles are being shot, the laureates are being interviewed. In addition to the official moments, there is a very rich cultural program: visit to the Kremlin, planetarium, Moskvarium and much more.
