A student of GSU is a world champion in rowing

From September 16 to 19, the World Rowing and Canoeing and Para canoe Championships were held on Lake Bagsvard in the Danish capital Copenhagen. Athletes from 56 countries of the world, including representatives of Belarus, participated in the competition.

It is gratifying that Nikita Borikov, a graduate of the Francisk Skorina State University, brought the gold of the World Championship to the piggy bank of the Belarusian national team. In the decisive race of single kayaks for 500 meters, the athlete showed the final result of 1 min. 38.87 sec. The second place was taken by the Portuguese Joao Ribeiro – 1 min. 39, 88 sec. The bronze medal was won by the German Moritz Florstedt-1 min. 40.04 sec.
