On February 25, the Faculty of Foreign Languages of F. Skorina GSU congratulated their partners from the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University on the 25th anniversary of the founding of the university. At the invitation of their Kazakh colleagues, teachers of the Department of Theory and Practice of the English Language and the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Foreign Language Education: Content and Technologies for Training Higher School Specialists». During the conference the following important issues of teaching foreign languages were discussed: multicultural communication and teaching of foreign languages, multimedia technologies in teaching foreign languages, text and discourse in the system of teaching foreign languages, etc. The Dean of the Faculty, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor, Elena Sazhina made a report on the topic "Methodology for interpreting the conceptual sphere of polemic discourse in print media" at the plenary session. During the work, the participants of the plenary session organized a lively discussion and exchange of experience, which undoubtedly became a fruitful continuation of international cooperation and laid the foundations for organizing and conducting joint seminars for the exchange of experience and advanced training.
