Registration of participants in centralized testing began at the F.Skorina State University on May 2, 2020. The registration point of a leading university in the Gomel region has a high throughput (registration is carried out by 9 operators!) and works on the principle of “one window”. This year, additional services are provided for applicants: the ability to send an application for registration to the centralized testing by e-mail and coordinate their arrival time at the registration point by phone.

Francisk Skorina Gomel State University and Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University have embarked on the implementation of a new long-term project ERASMUS + “From University to Labour market in the 21st century: a step forward in work-based placements- UniLab” as part of an international consortium of universities.

Teachers and employees of the Faculty of Physics and Information Technology of the Skorina State University handed over another batch of fifty protective face shields to the Gomel city ambulance station. Volunteers also pledged to produce another hundred units of products, which will equip employees of all Gomel emergency medical substations with personal protective equipment.

Republican Scientific Conference “Current issues of physics and technology” will be held online at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University on April 23, 2020. 
The forum will gather together undergraduates, Master’s degree and PhD students from universities of Belarus and Kazakhstan. More than 250 works have been registered for participation in 4 sections of the conference.

In the Republic of Belarus special attention is paid to the greenspace expansion. The head of state of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko mentioned several times that the environmental amenities and improvement are of prime importance in the Year of native land.     It is no coincidence that on the eve of the 90th anniversary of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University students and teachers of the Faculty of biology took an active part in planting of trees at the territory of GSU.

Today Dmitry is a prize-winner of the Championships of Europe and the Republic of Belarus in powerlifting. According to his words, powerlifting is a real pleasure for him.

3D production technology of surgical masks is mastered in Gomel

The work began at the Faculty of physics and information technologies. An action group refined the technology of production and shaped a course of action. 
After agreeing on the nuances with manufacturers of similar products in Minsk, representatives of Gomel State University entered production. The first batch of  masks printed on 3D printers was delivered to medical institutions of Gomel. 
 

Piloting of a new program has started at the emergency medical service of Gomel:

the location of each ambulance machine is tracked in real time mode and an emergency team is directed to the place of the call. The program was developed by a Master’s degree student of the Faculty of mathematics and programming technologies of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University under the supervision of Head of the Department of computational mathematics and programming Dmitry Kuzmenkov.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Programming Technologies offers applicants the specialty "Applied Informatics" (computer systems software) with a specialization in «Multimedia Systems and Internet Programming. »
