On February 12, 2025, a bright and colorful concert dedicated to the celebration of the New Year according to the lunar calendar was held in the Assembly Hall of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. The event, organized by the Confucius Institute, brought together students, teachers, students of Chinese language courses, as well as city residents to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a traditional Chinese holiday.

The guests met with the rector of the university Sergey Khakhomov. During the negotiations, the issues of recruiting Chinese citizens for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs, as well as the implementation of joint educational programs with higher education institutions of the PRC, were discussed.

Today, the rector of the university, Sergey Khakhomov, awarded Bachelor's diplomas to 52 graduates from among the citizens of the People's Republic of China. The students studied at the Gomel State University under the experimental project "Implementation of the Model of Integration of the Educational Program and Higher Education Degree (Republic of Belarus) with the Educational Program of Non-University Higher Education (PRC) in a shortened timeframe."

As part of the cooperation agreement between the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University and Heze University (Heze, China), faculty members from the Department of Physics and Information Technologies, Yanina Kosenok, Ekaterina Kulesh, and Konstantin Babich, undertook an internship at Heze University.

The rector of the university, Sergey Khakhomov, along with the director of the Research Institute of Physical Chemistry at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, Alexander Rogachev, visited one of the leading higher education institutions in the People's Republic of China, Tsinghua University. The delegation from Gomel State University met with Professor Jin Yuansheng from the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and familiarized themselves with the research laboratories of the institute.

At the invitation of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Bayarsaykhan Batsukh, the rector of the university, Sergey Khakhomov, participated in the solemn ceremony of opening the exhibition "Mandala: The Secret Temple of Tantra," which showcases masterpieces of Mongolia's cultural heritage.
